Jörn Möllenkamp

 

Born on the 4th of August 1983 in Münster, Germany. Jörn Möllenkamp studied at the department for film and television of Prof. Yana Drouz at the school of Art and Design in Kassel.

Besides directing award-winning student films himself,  Jörn Möllenkamp focused early on producing live action films supporting his fellow students in the realization of numerous short, documentary and feature length projects.

Since 2013 Jörn Möllenkamp continues his work as an executive producer in LPP, overseeing the companies projects as well as establishing its co-production environment.

Behrooz Karamizade

 

Behrooz Karamizade was born in Ahwaz (Iran) in 1978. In 1984 his family emigrated to former Soviet Union and since 1985 he is living in Germany. After finishing school with 'Abitur' he was assisting the industrial photographer Gerhard Kley for two years and was interning in grip at the company InMediaDiabolo.

After spending some time abroad in Iran und China, he was studying Orientalistic Studies at Cologne University for two terms. In 2005 he started his academic studies at Kunsthochschule Kassel in the field Visual Communication specializing in Film and Television. He graduated his course with distinction and got the status 'Meisterschüler'.

He participated in over 200 film festivals with his short films and won several prizes, including International Filmfestival Rotterdam, Kurzfilmtagen Oberhausen and Montreal World Film Festival. His graduation film BAHAR IN WONDERLAND participated in over 150 film festivals and won 20 prizes like the GERMAN HUMAN RIGHTS FILM PRIZE 2014. Aswell as his art works and festival attendances he created several image films and a television documentation for ARD/ZDF – KIKA. Since 2015 he works also as a lecturer at the Art Academy Kassel / University Kassel in the Department Film and TV.

 

Giorgi Abashishvili

 

Giorgi Abashishvili was born on 28.04.1976 in Tbilisi, Georgia. In 1998 he graduated from Tbilisi Technical University (Georgia) as an engineer before discovering his passion for filmmaking.  From 2005 to 2011 he studied at the University of Kassel, School of Art, Germany at the department for Film and Television led by professor Yana Drouz and professor David Safarian directing more than 10 short films. He received a degree with destinction and in 2012 was appointed master student.

His latest work, the georgian-german episode film ALL ABOUT PEOPLE, won the first prize of the jury as well as the audience award at the 7th PHILOSOPHICAL FILM FESTIVAL in Skopje.

Giorgi Abashishvili lives and works in Germany and Georgia.
